StrangeBars.com depends on you to add your favorite Bars, Stories and Photos from your area. Simply create an account, fill out your profile and start posting. Have a favorite happy hour? Tell us about it. Know of a pool tourney or a can't-miss sports bar? Tell us about that too. Maybe all you know is the divebar that has $1 hamburgers. That's what we're all about. Tell us as much as you can, and share the knowledge purchased by your paycheck and liver.

Assuming that you already are a StrangeBarfly, the next thing that you need to do is Sign up for Flickr. Flickr has a mobile tools page that has instructions specific to your phone.

If that doesn't work, remember that most phones support sending email. Flickr will post whatever photos you send to your account.

So there are two modes, the moblie version of Flickr, and posting to Flickr by email.

If you use another photo service, tell me about it, and I'll see about getting support for it.

When we needed a mission statement, it didn't take much brainstorming. From the start, our mission has been simple. Our mission is to Hang With Drunks.
StrangeBars is a site dedicated to trying to remember all of the good times that we have had at bars. It started by taking a microcassette recorder into the bar, and listening to it the next day. I found out that people say some funny stuff. Then it moved onto taking picures in bars and relaying the stories.

Finally with the age of online videos and cell phones that record videos, we decided that a full-blown community was needed.

The focus of this site is to identify Strange Bars, Strange Occurrences and Strange People at bars.

Members of the StrangeBars Community are called Strange Barflies.

Your mission as a Strange Barfly is to identify and catalog new strange bars.

Our eventual goal is as a community to rate ALL bars, (in the world) while at the same time recording in writing, audio, photo, and video the fantastic, weird and entertaining stories that take place.
